About Company

Hipperson Construction is a young company built on experience. Since incorporating in 1996, this edition of the company has experienced consistent growth each year. The growth was leveraged by the stable foundation the company was established on – over 100 years of building experience!

The continued success of Hipperson Construction has come from hard work, but more so, it has resulted from every individual in the company taking pride in the work they do for our clients. Whether it is a small renovation project or a massive industrial project, demonstrated passion for construction is what has sustained the growth of the company.

Today’s business environment is changing rapidly – traditional construction approaches are not the solution for every opportunity. Design Build and Construction Management services, tailored to meet the client’s cash flow, budgets and timelines are rising in popularity.

Our focus is on providing the most cost effective construction solution without compromising on quality and safety standards. Hipperson Construction continues to invest in new processes, training, human resources and technology to continuously improve the ways we can satisfy the growing diversity of our customers and their unique construction needs.

Our History

Three generations of Hipperson family members have helped build Saskatchewan.

The family legacy began when William Hipperson emigrated to Ontario in 1904 from Norwich, England. William relocated to Regina in 1905 to supervise construction of the Ackerman Building, now located at 2128 Dewdney Avenue. The following year he formed Hipperson Construction. Other Regina properties completed in those early years include the Army and Navy Department Store, the Somerset Building and the Qu’Appelle Apartments.

William’s son Donald, assumed the reigns of Hipperson Construction in 1952. Over the next 45 years, more Saskatchewan landmarks were constructed, including many of Regina’s churches and schools.

Currently in its third generation and celebrating 20 years of ownership, Gordon Hipperson, P.Eng., leads Hipperson Construction into the future of construction excellence with many projects undertaken in the city of Regina and Southern Saskatchewan.“We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and extend our sincere appreciation to the many stakeholders that have supported our business endeavours over the past century. For three generations, we have had the pleasure of working in partnership with valued Consultants, sub-trade contractors, building product suppliers, and Project Owners.”

“Furthermore, none of our projects would have been possible without the commitment of the hard working, loyal and knowledgeable employees that we have been able to attract over the years. It is our hope that we can continue to develop and retain a skilled construction work force to sustain us well into the future.”

Our company’s future in construction and property development is bright with opportunities and we thank members of the Saskatchewan community for their continued support.

The Hipperson Team

The name Hipperson Construction has been around for three generations. But the name represents a diversified group of talented individuals that have established a proven track record and continue to build on it.

Combined experience in our team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Estimators now exceeds fifty years. Our team’s experience is combined with their individual educational certifications and professional designations. With aspirations to surpass the expectations of our clients, there is a continual effort to stay up to date with educational opportunities offered by construction industry associations and proven training providers.

For our site crews, the same holds true. There are minimum training standards for all of our site employees including laborers right through to the supervisors and safety officers. When a project kicks off, the team is assembled based on each individual’s area of specialty, their specific knowledge and training, and their ability to work together as a high functioning team.

Supporting our cast of construction experts is an administrative and accounting team that boasts over 20 years of experience in construction management having dealt with a wide array of clients and owner representatives. Their knowledge of contract documents, project billing, and legislative compliance is applied to each and every project no matter how big or small.

We are not the biggest, most well known construction company in Saskatchewan. But we are proving that Hipperson Construction delivers construction services of value in the Saskatchewan marketplace.
