HAMDEN METAL SERVICE CO. INC. (HMS)was established in 1976 for the purpose of supplying industry with specialty high tech materials in any quantity and to close specifications. 
HMS started out as a warehouse, stocking hard to find materials. Over time, HMS found that there are many more sizes than we could stock. Thus HMS was force to install wire drawing equipment to custom draw wire to customers needs. Customers proceeded to request closer tolerances in size and in tempers. Since HMS was established to do what others did not want to do, we took on those requests. 
HMS is continually adding equipment or modifying existing equipment to meet customers needs.

Hamden Metal Service Co. Inc. (HMS) is capable of drawing sizes from its stocking program from .250 inch dia. to as small as .005 inch dia.

Because HMS can custom draw materials, special tempers can be produced. Whether it be just a slight tempering to get the kinks out of annealed, or just below spring temper to allow for adding cold work when coiling tight indexes, HMS can to the job.

An added bonus to HMS custom making wire for you is the fact that we can put the material onto almost any spool you need. We have also given customers coils that have a reverse payoff. Clockwise or counter clockwise your choice.
