The Hackl company has been active as a waste disposal company in Burgenland for over 40 years. Founded in 1978 by Oswald Hackl in Zagersdorf as a small waste material collection center, the company is still run as a family business today and employs more than 75 highly qualified employees. Since the introduction of the term in 2000, we can call ourselves a "waste management company" .

In 2007, parts of the company's activities at the Wulkaprodersdorf location were spun off into the operating company "Hackl Container Abfallbehandlungs-GmbH". The company currently has an annual turnover of 5.5 million euros, with around 30,000 tonnes of waste being collected, treated or recycled.75
