Company Profile

GE Power & Water’s Distributed Power portfolio of innovative solutions give businesses and communities around the world the ability to generate reliable and efficient power at or near the point of use, anytime – on the grid or off. Our product portfolio features Aeroderivative gas turbines, Jenbacher gas engines, and Waukesha gas engines ranging from 120 kW-100MW.

Distributed Power provides customers of all types—including industrial businesses, developing communities, government agencies managing disaster relief and other emergency power situations—the ability to generate reliable, sustainable power whenever and wherever it is needed.

Aeroderivatives gas turbines

With a tradition built on the world’s most trusted jet engines, GE's aeroderivative gas turbines offer power output ranging from 18 to 100 MW and the ability to utilize a variety of fuels. From fast starts and load following to get on the grid quickly, to high availability and reliability to keep units online, we tailor products and services to meet our customer demands.

Jenbacher gas engines

As gas-fueled reciprocating engines, packaged generator sets, and cogeneration units for power generation, Jenbacher gas engines range in power from 300 kW – 9,500 KW. The engines run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases (e.g., biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, combustible industrial waste gases). A broad range of commercial, industrial, and municipal customers use Jenbacher products for on-site generation of power, heat, and cooling.

Waukesha gas engines

As gas-powered reciprocating engines and fuel rating units, Waukesha* gas engines range in power output from 120 kW – 3,605 kW (160 bhp – 4,835 bhp). The engines run on a wide range of fuels, including variable quality field gas. Waukesha* gas engines are known for their durability and performance in harsh, remote environments involving mission-critical situations throughout oilfield power generation, gas compression and mechanical drive.
