Here is how we recycle responsibly

Data Standards

If your computer, phone or any other data bearing device comes through our facility - you can rest assured that your data is safe. Our data erasure software is up to NIST 800.88 Standards. Higher than DOD Standards!

Termination To terminate an electronic, is to bring it down to its smallest components, recycle and melt them down, and then send them off to be re-used in a new piece of equipment. We are committed to making sure that all items are properly recycled, and that nothing is just “thrown away”.

Responsible Downstream

Our chain of recyclers ensures that nothing ends up in the landfill! Our sister company, eWaste Sonoma, and our partner facility CEWS have all necessary certifications for proper electronics disposal. We will send anything that is not refurbished through them.

Donation If someone is in need, we love to help out! If we have any refurbished electronics available that can benefit low income members of our society, then we will use vetted sources to make sure they are provided a computer.

Refurbishment

If an item can be refurbished and re-used, then that is our first option! The best form of recycling is re-use, to make sure things don’t need to be melted down and repurposed. If you want your item to be dismantled regardless, just let us know!

Landfill Diversion

The New England landfills do not need any other toxic materials put into them. We are committed to keeping the items that you recycle with us out of the landfill. If we partner with another company, we vet them to ensure nothing goes into the landfill.
