Emmet County Recycling is a program of the Emmet County, Michigan Department of Public Works.

> We provide recycling collection (drop-off sites, curbside service, event services, and a comprehensive recycling center that accepts everything from antifreeze to mattresses six days a week)

> processing of recyclables (with our MRF serving as a hub for a multi-county area), and marketing of recyclables. Roughly 95% of the recyclables we collect supply a Michigan business.

> We also operate a commercial composting site and a food-scraps collection program.

Though we serve a largely rural area, we are widely looked to as a model for providing convenient, cost-effective, comprehensive recycling. Over 80% of Emmet County households use our recycling systems.
