Ecocheese is an ecological project whose ambition is to teach families and individuals to sort used batteries.

Ecocheese is also an attractive collection container for discharged batteries, which those interested will receive in the Czech Republic free of charge up to their mailbox.

The project was launched in 2011 by ECOBAT. In the same year, ECOCHEESE boxes received a prestigious award in the Metro Zlatá pecka 2011 competition in the packaging design category. Since then, the ECOCHEESE collection has grown with new sizes and colors for collection containers, of which over 150,000 have already been distributed .

ECOBAT sro, the operator of the ECOCHEESE project, is a non-profit organization that has been providing take-back and recycling of portable batteries and accumulators in the Czech Republic since 2002 . In the long run, it has also been actively involved in raising the general public's awareness of battery recycling issues.
