Eagle Flexible Packaging was born from one man’s entrepreneurial vision to create a company built on innovation, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Founded by Frank Vacca in 1994, Eagle began with a single Comco printing press in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, driven by a clear purpose: to deliver flexible packaging solutions with exceptional quality, efficiency, and service.

From the beginning, Eagle set itself apart through disciplined investment and a focus on operational excellence. By 1999, the company expanded its capabilities with a Comco 26” inline printing press, introducing in-line lamination, slitting, advanced drying systems, and enhanced inspection processes to ensure industry-leading quality control. Most profits were reinvested to strengthen operations, integrate the latest technology, and build a strong foundation for sustainable growth.

In 2001, Eagle moved to a larger facility in Batavia, Illinois, to support its growing team and advanced equipment. This growth continued under the leadership of Ed Walenga, who was named CEO in 2009, with a continued focus on disciplined investments and building a team empowered to drive success for customers across industries.

In 2021, Eagle expanded into Waupun, Wisconsin, opening a dedicated converting facility and state-of-the-art graphics center to enhance in-house capabilities and accelerate turnaround times. Looking ahead, Eagle is preparing to move into an upgraded facility in Batavia by 2026 and to open a new cutting-edge manufacturing facility at its Waupun campus.
