Dionisio Metal & Iron was founded in 1993 by Albert Dionisio on a small 3-acre piece of property in the Historic Salt Creek area of Pueblo. In 1995, Dionisio’s was incorporated and because of many years of hard work and dedication, became a trusted name in Pueblo business. We strive to offer the best possible customer service as well as pay a competitive price for all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.  

As Dionisio Metal & Iron grew, it became clear that our Salt Creek location was just too small. In 2006, we moved to our current location 700 S. Portland Ave, Pueblo, CO. With this move we were able to expand our facility by 11 acres to offer the most up-to-date and environmentally friendly scrap metal yard in southern Colorado. Our facility is Pueblo’s first dual 70’ truck scale scrap yard which makes the scrap selling process quick and convenient. 

In 2011, we expanded to include a second full service scrap and recycling center in La Junta, CO.  This second location has made us the largest recycling company in southern Colorado.  We offer many scrap and salvage services from residential, commercial, industrial to heavy demolition.  No job is too big or too small.

Dionisio Metal & Iron accepts a wide array of household and industrial items.  This includes: steel, iron, tin, aluminum, copper, brass, lead and stainless steel. We also recycle most appliances, vehicles, heavy equipment, lead-acid batteries, and much more! 

Items that we do not accept at this time include: Cement, glass, hazardous material, liquids of any nature, monitors, televisions, plastic, railroad material, sealed drums/containers, tires, trash, wood, nickel-cadmium batteries, lithium batteries, alkaline batteries, explosives, fluorescent light ballasts (and other materials) containing PCB’s, asbestos, and radioactive materials.
