Davidson Steel Services, LLC is a structural steel contractor founded in 2004 by Larry and Sheryl Whicker. We offer structural and miscellaneous steel design, fabrication, and erection. Our custom products also include bar joists, metal roof and floor deck, and steel stairs, handrails, and ladders. Due to our experience and purchasing power, we can create a full steel package at a competitive price, whether for a hospital, office building, school, church, warehouse, or home.  Service sets us apart from the rest. Our well-qualified office staff has over 80 total years of experience in the steel construction industry, and our project managers coordinate all aspects of our steel projects from start to finish.  The team at Davidson Steel enjoys building relationships with our customers. Our focus is on serving small to medium-sized commercial general contractors as well as residential contractors. In our experiences, these "smaller" customers are frequently shortchanged or ignored by larger steel fabrication companies who prefer to pursue larger contracts

We are centrally located in the Triad area of North Carolina, and we have successfully completed projects throughout North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Our largest project to date was a 320,000 square foot warehouse at Saddle Creek 2 in Harrisburg, North Carolina.  Recent projects include steel for Wake Forest University, Clemmons Moravian Church, Welcome Fire Department, Thomas Jefferson Academy, Downtown Elementary School, Greenbridge, Saint Pius X Catholic Church, Country Club Commons, Merck, Andy Griffith Playhouse, Forsyth Medical Center, Talbot's, Winston-Salem Police Station, Concord Medical Office Building, and the Greensboro Coliseum.
