Daniel Diamonds is a jewelry store, but we’re not just any jewelry store. We’re a family owned small business run by a mother, father and daughter team. Each one of us contributes something special to the business, allowing us to provide a huge variety of jewelry and services unlike any other jewelry store. We are a designer jewelry store where you meet the designers, work with the designers, and become the designers.  Danny and Karen Alkayam established Daniel Diamonds in Houston, Texas in 1981. Originally a diamond importer and manufacturer, we earned our reputation by providing quality loose diamonds and spectacular jewelry to over 250 stores in the Southwestern United States. After spending years on the road selling diamonds and jewelry, like so many others, we fell in love with the beauty and lifestyle of Colorado. We opened our flagship store in Bergen Park in 1994, and in 2010, we relocated to our current award winning Evergreen location in The Diamond Building.  Danny originates from Netanya, Israel, the heart of the Israeli Diamond Exchange. Growing up surrounded by friends and family in the diamond industry, he developed an acute sense for high quality diamonds and gemstones. His years in the jewelry business allowed him to strengthen our network of diamond and gemstone dealers, giving us the ability to sell such beautiful, high quality jewelry in our store.  Karen is from Galveston, Texas and holds a degree in interior design from the University of Texas in Austin. She began designing jewelry in 1981 and was later certified as a GIA diamond grader.

Her love of design and passion for fashion led to the opening of the first Daniel Diamonds retail store. Her creativity and attention to detail are the key to our success.  Karen and Danny’s daughter, Kellie Alkayam, joined the company in 2009. Growing up around diamonds and jewelry allowed her to pick up Karen’s creativity and Danny’s impeccable taste to design fresh, unique pieces for the store. She was educated at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, California.  Julie Kryshak has been in the jewelry business for over 45 years. She worked in her family’s jewelry store in Wausau, Wisconsin from the age of 15 until she sold it in 2002. Julie is a GIA certified Gemologist.  We believe in customer service and personal touch. Nobody wants to walk into a business and be treated like just another customer. Nobody wants to walk into a business only to be greeted by somebody new and different every time. Each member of our team lives and breathes jewelry. Each member of our team cares passionately about our customers, our company, and giving each person the individual, personal time and attention they deserve, whether they come in for a watch battery or a diamond
