Cumbria Recycling Ltd is a Social Enterprise organisation fully licensed and audited annually by the Environment Agency. We offer a complete professional service for the removal and re-use of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) for local authorities in addition to commercial business asset disposals.

Our mission is to divert as much electronics waste away from landfill through convenient and rewarding collection methods and sustainable reuse of electronics that others may deem as ‘waste’.

Through our Re-Use programme we provide local people with an opportunity to purchase fully guaranteed electrical goods at low prices. We supply high quality reconditioned electrical equipment and appliances.

Cumbria Recycling Limited is one of Cumbria’s leading recycling companies, processing over 2000 tonnes annually of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) for re-use and sorting for recycling of raw materials.

Evidence of re-use and refurbishment of whole appliances also counts towards the UK recovery and recycling targets. Cumbria Recycling Limited is an operator of a facility which collects whole items for re-use and refurbishment, for example computers or large household items such as washing machines and cookers.

We operate under an Environment Agency Permit and an AATF licence. This allows us to issue evidence of re-use to compliance schemes and their producers in order for them to claim credits and payments from the European Waste Fund.
