Our Story

Founded in 2022 by Sal Rigoroso (Formally Charleston Plastics), Cornerstone Plastic Recycling was born from a vision: that plastic waste shouldn’t be the end of the line — it should be the start of new value. With backgrounds in materials engineering and sustainability, our leadership assembled a team dedicated to financial, environmental and operational efficiency in recycling. Starting with post-industrial plastics, we’ve grown into a full-service recycling provider with scaling infrastructure, quality control, and trusted downstream markets.

What We Do

Plastic Collection & Sorting — we accept and manage plastic waste streams (e.g., bottles, film, rigid, flex) and sort by polymer, resin type and color to maximise value.

Recycling & Reprocessing — using industry-leading equipment and protocols, we process plastics into clean flakes, pellets or other feedstock for reuse in manufacturing.

Closed-Loop & Circular Solutions — we partner with brands and OEMs to design and implement flexible systems where recycled plastic re-enters production, reducing reliance on virgin resin.
