Kevin Cooper, owner of Cooper Woodworks has been making custom, unique, and made to order furniture, mill-work, and wood items since 2008.

It all started as a kid with a pocketknife whittling flowers and other small things from sticks found in my home state of Wyoming. During high school and college I worked for my father at his welding shop, doing mostly machining. After moving to Oregon in 2003, I switched from metalwork to a job in general contracting. As time went by, I found myself drawn more and more to fine carpentry, and started making chess boards and other items for friends and family. My first piece of mortise and tenon furniture was a figured maple crib for my son. It took a very long time and was a huge learning experience, but so worth it in the end.

Since then I have made that love of natural materials and craftsmanship into a business that rewards me on a daily basis. Looking at a piece of wood, appreciating it's beauty, and making useful things of the utmost quality with it is a truly rewarding experience. I combine both modern and traditional woodworking and joinery techniques to provide quality pieces in a timely and cost effective manner.
