Historically, all of the debris from these demolition projects gets hauled in trucks and buried at landfills further adding to our global resource issue. As technology has advanced in the demolition and construction industry, new techniques have been developed to take construction debris and turn it into viable reusable resources for new development projects. These new methods decrease waste and combat the need for newly mined aggregates, thus saving pristine wildlife land and conserving Arizona’s natural beauty.

Concrete foundations, driveways, sidewalks, walls, and other building features like many other materials, can be recycled and reused in a variety of ways. Large amounts of heavy construction materials are generated as a result of the operation, which is typically discarded. Reusing these heavy concrete materials can assist in cutting building expenses by avoiding the cost of hauling concrete to the landfill, which is around $0.25 per ton per mile. Also, having more convenient locations available will cause less highway truck traffic which reduces wear and tear on our infrastructure and creates safer driving conditions for the community.
