We started Community Composting in 2006 and we are continuously thankful to all of our Vancouver Island customers. The Community Composting Team (Matt, Kyle, Chad, Tulsa, and Kelly)

Community Composting is the carefree compost solution. Convenient, clean yard and household waste collection along with delivered composted garden soil–all the benefits of composting, without the work.

Community Composting service began in Victoria in the spring of 2005, currently providing service to over 2,400 subscribers in Greater Victoria, Nanaimo, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach. We strive to aid our community in minimizing organic material entering our crowded landfills that could otherwise be composted. To accomplish this, we provide services to make composting easy, clean, and affordable. Community Composting Inc. is locally owned and operated by Matthew Mepham and Kyle Goulet.

Reducing Emissions

Community Composting has taken a number of steps to reduce emissions to an absolute minimum:

• We have focused on subscriber density before extending our service area. With currently over 2,400 subscribers, Community Composting subscribers are in very close proximity to one another, keeping traveling distances and fuel usage to a minimum.

• We have created a custom mapping and pickup program to provide the most efficient routing possible to help reduce travel time.

• Our trucks are Certified Clean Idle from the California Environmental Protection Agency Air Resources Board (CARB).
