OUR HISTORY

Humble Beginnings
1957

Emigrating from Italy in 1951, four brothers decided to settle in Canada, Montreal. But it wasn't until 1957, after years of struggle and learning the language, that they were finally able to open a small iron workshop.

First Investment
1972

Having worked a few years with some savings set aside, the group together make their first large-scale investment in 1972. The purchase of a cut-to-length line transforms the business into a full-scale steel and plate works operation.

Official Establishment
1995

With the gradual purchase of more machinery, the group reorganizes its business operations to provide a better focus to each market segment. Coilex Inc. is formally established as a dedicated steel service center.

Sustained Growth
2016

Coilex Inc. moves into a newly built facility 3 times bigger in size than the last, and furnishes it with the industry's latest cut-­to-length line. The company takes aim to reinforce the level of service and expand their product offerings.
