This reputation is something in which every employee of CSM takes enormous pride, and nobody is more committed to preserving that pride than Company President and third generation family owner, Allan Abosh.

CSM was founded in 1920 by Allan’s grandfather, a general tinsmith. It passed to his father David, and then to him in 1982. Through the years, each successor has built on not only their solid reputation but also on cumulative skills and experience to improve and expand the line of products manufactured.

Based in Winnipeg, Canada, CSM has grown to service an ever growing clientele and customer base, and now handles a market that extends throughout North America.

Our customer base in the past has been predominantly the installer but the acquisition of the metal eavestrough/gutter division of General Steel Wares in 1993 has positioned the company as a leading manufacturer and supplier to lumberyards and home improvement retailers and, more recently, as an OEM supplier.

We also supply aluminum and vinyl railings, custom flashings, roofing products, and accessories.

With a distribution centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada to augment the main production plant, CSM supplies buying groups from coast to coast, including Home Hardware, Federated Co-operatives, Rona Corporation and Timber Mart Ltd.

As manufacturers of gutters, downspouts, soffit, fascia and siding for lumberyards, contractors, and the Do-It-Yourself market, CSM uses only North American mills to supply raw materials.
