Walter Hopkins started Cave Hill Corporation in 1979. He founded the company on five main concepts; cranes, rigging, industrial maintenance, steel fabrication and design & engineering. With these concepts at heart the company grew steadily through the years and acquired more cranes, rigging and fabrication equipment along with knowledgeable personal to keep up with demand.

In 1986, Cave Hill Corporation, relocated from its original location, near Mr. Hopkins’ family farm, to where it is today on 806 Island Ford Road in McGaheysville, VA. At the time the new facility was eight times larger than the original and in four years it became necessary to expand again. An additional 100 linear feet was added to the facility to encompass 30,000 square feet of building and office space.

Over the years Cave Hill Corporation has primarily worked in three states; Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. We have performed various operations ranging from day-trade to taxi cab crane service consisting of residential, commercial and industrial projects such as setting of roof top AC units, modular and manufactured homes, industrial tanks, bridge beams to name a few.
