'Exploring Carlin-type Gold Properties in Nevada'

Carlin Gold Corporation is a Vancouver-based exploration company focused on Carlin-type gold exploration in Nevada, where the company has two wholly-owned properties for which we are seeking partners to continue evaluation. Our corporate presentation can be viewed from and downloaded from this site, and the Nevada project summaries are also included.

Cortez Summit, Carlin Gold’s flagship Nevada property, is located in the Cortez gold trend, which exceeds 45 million ounces total gold produced, reserves and resources. Barrick’s 2016 gold production at Cortez was 1.05 million ounces at all-in-sustaining costs (AISC) of $518/oz (Barrick Feb. 22, 2017 webcast). Cortez Summit lies just 1 kilometer east of Barrick’s new Goldrush resource. As of year-end 2017, the probable reserve at Goldrush stood at 1.48 million oz grading 8.1 g/t. The measured/indicated resource was 9.45 million oz grading 9.3 g/t Au, with an inferred resource of 2.3 million oz grading 8.2 g/t Au, for a total measured/indicated/inferred gold resource of 11.75 oz (Barrick Feb. 22, 2018 Investor Day webcast). Limited drilling by Carlin Gold has encountered a portion of the sedimentary host rock package that contains the Goldrush resource. In 2016 Barrick announced some very encouraging drillhole results of up to 14.3m grading 31.8 g/t Au at the Fourmile target, located about 1 km north of the Goldrush resource and less than a kilometer from the west edge of the Cortez Summit property. This target was upgraded to a “discovery” in 2018 with the announcement of several additional high grade drill holes, including 16.6m grading 71.6 g/t Au and 16.8m grading 57.9 g/t Au (Barrick July 26, 2018 webcast). Fourmile mineralization is within the thermal halo of the Jurassic-age Mill Canyon stock, which opens up an exciting additional target within this zone at Cortez Summit. As part of an exploration and earn-in agreement signed in Q4 2016, Barrick drilled a 5,171 ft. core hole in 2017. Very encouraging alteration and geochemistry were encountered in the upper part of the hole (see Oct. 25, 2017 news release on this website). The hole penetrated a complete favorable lower plate host rock section, although alteration and mineralization were minimal. Barrick terminated the agreement on February 15, 2018 after completing one hole. Cortez Summit continues to be an underexplored property located within a world-class gold district.

Carlin Gold’s Willow property in northeast Nevada is Carlin-type target located in an active exploration and mining area highlighted by Newmont Mining’s Long Canyon mine located 80 kilometers southwest.

Carlin Gold is a fifty percent partner in the Carlin-Constantine Yukon joint venture (CCJV) which controls 2,459 claims (approx. 500 km2) in the Selwyn Basin area of eastern Yukon. Several strong gold and base metal targets have been identified in our holdings. On April 23, 2018, the CCJV signed an agreement granting Fireweed Zinc Ltd (FWZ:TSXV) the option to purchase CCJV’s Jerry, MC and MP properties (total 624 claims) in the Mac Pass area (see news release on this website). The additional properties, totaling 1,835 claims and approximately 37,700 hectares, are available for sale or option.
