Knoblauch GmbH & Co. KG. As a scrap and metal wholesaler, we have been recycling scrap and metals of all kinds for almost 100 years and, with our container service, offer the disposal of a wide variety of metallic and non-metallic waste. Sustainability and the utilization of raw materials have been our top priorities since the company was founded in Öhringen in 1922. As a family business, we have internalized the commitment to the conservation of resources and the reintroduction of secondary raw materials into the resource cycle and we are committed to making a contribution to the protection of the environment.

History

It all started in Öhringen.

In 1922 Carl Knoblauch founded a hardware store in Öhringen. After working successfully in the Hohenlohe-Öhringen area, the company soon grew. Customers are also acquired in the neighboring greater Heilbronn area.

Then in the Austraße.

1936 After acquiring a storage space in the Heilbronn industrial area, the company's headquarters are relocated to Heilbronn on Austraße. This is the first time you have access to the rail network of the "Bundesbahn".

Then into Kalistrasse.

In 1954 , a new, larger location was found on Kalistraße. This also offers the possibility of sending processed scrap by wagon. The site will be developed according to the state of the art at the time and applicable environmental regulations.

1974 Acquisition of a 450-ton scrap shear "Lindemann Luges" for the production and loading of shear scrap in steelworks.

In 1980 , Rolf Knoblauch's son-in-law, Michael Knauth, joined the company and diversified the “classic scrap trade” with new services in the field of sheet metal processing (flame cutting) and a utility iron trade.

In 1987 , managing director and owner Rolf Knoblauch suddenly died of a heart attack at the age of only 58.

In 1988 ownership was transferred to the daughter of Rolf and Inge Knoblauch, Ute Knauth. Son-in-law Michael Knauth takes over the management with Carl-Heinz Knoblauch until his departure in 1989.

In 1999 the first voluntary audit of the waste management company according to §56 KrWG (recycling law) takes place.

In 2006 the daughter of Michael and Ute Knauth, Lena Knauth, decided to take over the business and thus laid the foundation for the continuation of Carl Knoblauch GmbH & Co. KG. As a result of the municipal decision to change the use of the “Fruchtschuppengelände”, which also houses Kalistrasse, the contract for the new site in Hans-Rießer-Strasse was signed in December 2006.
