• Late 1960s : collection of household waste with tractor and agricultural tipper by father Rémi Callens
Combination farm / waste collection
1989-2009
• 1989 : extension of household waste collection Luc and wife Kathleen
• purchase first garbage truck
• recruiting staff
• 1996 : foundation of Callens Reiniging bvba
• 2009 : son Brecht joins the team
2011
• son Bram Callens joins the team
• purchase of first container car with 5 drop-off containers
2012-2013
• 2012 : start-up of roll containers
• 2012 : expansion of sales containers + reduction of agricultural activity
• 2013 : commissioning of the first warehouse for storage / sorting waste + start-up recycling park
2016-2017
• 2016 : second shed for storage / sorting waste into use
• 2017 : expansion of the site for containers and trucks

• Demerger Callens Reiniging bvba
• Callens cleaning bv: agriculture + garbage collection
