Brock began as the Service Painting Company of Beaumont in 1947, a coatings services company serving industrial facilities in Beaumont, Texas and the surrounding areas. Over the course of nearly 70 years, we have significantly diversified our business and grown to become a leading provider of specialty services to some of the largest refineries, chemical plants, utilities, and pulp and paper facilities. During the 1970s, Brock made an unprecedented move to begin hiring college educated professionals to serve as project managers and customer liaisons, allowing field supervisors with deep service expertise to concentrate on service delivery.

The 1980s also proved to be an important period, as shareholders divided Brock into several operating units to facilitate more rapid overall growth. Importantly, this time period also marked the beginning of our expansion beyond coatings into multiple complementary services, such as scaffolding and insulation. This expansion also included the development of our managed programs, a proprietary service delivery approach designed to better serve customers.
