History

Bison Bag Co. began in 1968 when founder James C. Streicher built the first bag converting machine in his basement. That machine was put into operation in a small 2,500 square-foot building in Buffalo, NY, and Bison Bag was born. Since then, Bison Bag has outgrown not one, but two facilities—the first Buffalo location and a larger facility in Tonawanda, NY. Our current facility in Lockport, NY, has been expanded several times as our business continues to grow and now occupies 160,000 square feet of space.

Bison Bag is family owned and operated, and although the company has grown into a high-end packaging operation, we continue to serve all customers, big and small, with the highest degree of service and quality.

To this day, we live by the motto that “Your Success is Our Success”, and we are committed to making sure each and every customer succeeds.

Recyclable Pouches

It’s time to take sustainability seriously. With recent innovations in how we recycle flexible packaging, we can take matters into our own hands as manufacturers.

For a long time, recyclable pouches have been considered a sustainable option, but it was almost impossible to get these pouches in the hands of manufacturers in a way that would improve their bottom line.

Today, we live in a reality where recyclable pouches are not only possible, but sought-after by consumers looking for additional ways to do their part for environmental wellbeing. Not only are consumers’ shopping habits changing, but manufacturers are moving towards more sustainable practices as well.
