It all began with one small house. In the sweltering summer of 1945, Roy Berard Sr., an innovative sugar cane farmer, was offered fifty dollars to move a friend’s house to a new location a few miles away. Using an old truck and homemade trailer, he completed the project in just one day. “Back then, $50 seemed like $50,000 to me, an amazing reward for a day of hard work” said Berard. Word of this accomplishment quickly spread throughout the area, and the small farming operation evolved to the mega transportation company that is Berard today.Roy Berard’s devotion to quality carries on as the backbone of our company.
