Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators is privately held business that takes pride in its heritage, employees, community, products and customers. Based in St.Paul, MN the company has flourished with a strong 75 person U.S. workforce that supplies metal fabricated components to U.S. factories.

Donald K Bauer started the company in 1946 on used equipment and 450 square foot of shop space making home heating oil tanks. It was his drive, discipline and honesty that made the company successful. Donald’s sons Gary and Doug joined the business after serving in the US military and completing college. In 1996, Doug took over running the business where he accelerated his father’s core values and grew the company in his vision.

Today Bauer is housed in a 60,000 sq ft facility, with in-house departments of engineering design, quality, tooling, purchasing and material control. The production floor contains automated, fully connected CNC lasers, benders, specialized machines, machining centers, presses, and robotic welders. With those tools and our innovation - we believe we can make anything.
