Transmission Division

ATCO Electric’s Transmission Division is accountable for growth, planning, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance of transmission facilities. By investing in transmission infrastructure development, the Transmission Division helping to meet the growing need for electricity and playing a key role in industrial development. The company owns and operates about 11,000 kilometres of transmission lines.

Distribution Division

ATCO Electric’s Distribution Division is accountable for growth, planning, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance of distribution facilities. ATCO Electric’s network of about 69,000 kilometres of distribution power lines delivers safe, reliable electricity to homes, farms and businesses and Aboriginal communities across its service area. In addition, the company operates approximately 4,000 kilometres of distribution power lines on behalf of Rural Electrification Associations.
