AST is a shapecutting and waterjet cutting pioneer in the Dallas – Fort Worth market. The company was started in 1993 by the Paxton Brothers. At that time, they could not find anyone that would cut their products with the quality level and timeliness that they required. As a result, they bought a Waterjet cutting table and sent out 10 faxes; voila a new waterjet cutting business was born.

Today, the business is owned by Tony Woodall. Our team has more than 60 years of shapecutting and manufacturing experience. The majority of the AST employees have made AST Waterjet their home for more than ten years. Our desire is to be the most dependable source for cutting materials. For more than 17 years they have consistently demonstrated that they can be a reliable source by delivering their products on time with exceptional quality. If the product is not right, we will make it right, regardless of cost.

Our quality system is third party certified to ISO 9000 & AS9100C standards. Our customers operate in the following segments: Manufacturing & Fabricating Industries, Aerospace, Metal Fabricating, Oilfield, Sign Making, and Architectural Floor Coverings and Components.

AST’s equipment is constantly being upgraded to ensure that we are utilizing the latest Waterjet, Routing, and Laser Cutting advancements the industry has to offer. Since purchasing the company in 2006, Tony Woodall has consistently purchased new equipment and updated all of the existing machinery to the latest standards. Since 2009 AST has added state of the art 4-Axis Tube Laser Cutting, 5-Axis Waterjet cutting, and 3-Axis Router cutting systems to its already impressive list of equipment.
