Amherst Madison is a company with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. The company is headquartered in Charleston, WV along the Kanawha River, but we also have a second location at the mouth of the Kanawha River in Henderson, WV. Since 1893, when Charles T. and George W. Jones established the predecessor company, the highest level of quality and service have been its hallmark. Today, Amherst Madison continues as a fouth generation family owned company operating in the marine towing, construction, and repair fields. With 30 towboats of varying sizes, 11 barge mounted cranes, and multiple 2,000 ton dry docks, we have the equipment to handle almost any marine based project. We work along the Ohio River and it's tributaries, and offer a wide variety of marine equipment for rent. Our steady and experienced workforce can handle just about any project, and our wide ranging abilities in the marine industry gives us the flexibility to meet all the needs of our customers.
