I started gold prospecting at a young age. But it wasn't until around 2012 when I started to build my first pieces of gold prospecting equipment. Let me tell you, they were NOT the most efficient machines out there. They were heavy, hard to transport from point A to B, and honestly not the prettiest. I was not sure I wanted my gold prospecting adventures to be such a chore. So, I decided I was going to go out and buy a nice aluminum highbanker from the retailer. I went out, but all I could find were expensive machines that looked like they would rattle to pieces with a few shovel fulls of rocks thrown on them. And that's where it all began.

I then decided I was going to start manufacturing my own equipment. I wanted to bring something to the table that no one else had yet, at least not locally. I wanted this to be an affordable hobby for everyone. Alberta Gold Equipment started out as just a facebook page....and we have grown to be so much more than that. We have grown into this amazing company, and we have all of you to thank for that!! - Chris
