Albany Recycling Center

Setting up shop in 2008, Albany Recycling Center has grown to become central Minnesota's go-to location for all things recycling. Over the years our yard and team have properly disposed of and recycled millions of pounds of scrap, including everything from metals and washing machines to circuit boards, electronics, car parts, and more.

We have a great location conveniently located in Albany, Minneosta. Our team is set up to help you recycle or dispose of anything you might have. In addition to our facility, you may see our team out and about. We assist businesses, towns, townships, and counties with spring and fall clean ups. Albany Recycling Center also facilitates pick ups for those who cannot come to us; we provide top-notch service from start-to-finish. We like to tell people that "we have a hometown recycling center feel with the resources to accomplish any job, big or small."

Our family owned and operated company opened for business in the beginning of 2008; at the time we operated as Freeport Recycling and were located in Freeport, Minnesota. Within a few short years we added various services and quickly out-grew our Freeport recycling facility. After a real estate search we opted for a move to Albany, Minnesota — just a few short miles down I-94. In 2010 we completed our move to a larger facility located in the same lot as the Albany Chrysler Center. Along with the move came an appropriate name change, thus we now operate as Albany Recycling Center.

After years of recommendations and tremendous support, 2016 brought about another location change; still in Albany, we now reside on County Road 10 just a short drive past the hardware store.

Today we enjoy our newest facility and work to fulfill the recycling needs of local residents as well as maintain our recycling contracts with area businesses. As a fully registered Minnesota collector and recycler we continually maintain our knowledge regarding the best and most acceptable recycling practices for all materials we accept. And as a full-service recycling center we strive to pass our recycling knowledge onto you, we feel even the smallest tip can make a difference.
