ARP, Inc. was established in 1990 and is a family owned and operated business with a collective 50 years of knowledge all based in heavy fabrication for the Marine Oil Industry, Paper Industry, and Construction Industry. We have prided ourselves in our consistent and continuous innovations and improvements in our manufacturing and rolling processes. Our 53,000 Square Feet of manufacturing area under roof allows us to work uninhibited by the weather which equates to our ability to maintain consistent and on time production schedules. Our specialties have been centered around Lift Boat Legs, Lift Boat Jacking Towers, Crane Towers, Bow Thruster Tubes, Debarking Drums, and Cement Kilns. We have recently expanded our areas of expertise to also include Truss Legs for Offshore Deepwater Drill Rig as well as Wind Turbine Mono-Piles for Offshore and Inland Wind Farms. Last year in 2009, ARP, Inc. successfully processed and shipped a total of 10,000 tons of steel through our facility.

Our facility is located just 3 miles from the Port of Theodore, which assists in the expediting of domestic and overseas shipping logistics. Our philosophy of manufacturing is based upon the planned elimination of waste and continuous improvements of quality and production procedures. This process has been described as an approach with the objective of producing the right part, in the right place, at the right time. This philosophy is better known as “Just In Time” or “JIT Manufacturing”.

Waste is a result of any activity in our process that adds cost without adding value. Such as the unnecessary moving of large product parts, the accumulation of excess inventory, or the use of faulty production methods that may create subsequent re-work. Here at Alabama Roll Products we maximize welding automation with our welding manipulators which reduce cost and increases quality. As well as including Quality Assurance Control inspections at each stage of a product’s manufacturing phase.
