Our Story

At A6 Waste Transfer, family and dedication form the cornerstone of our business. Founded by brothers-in-law Dan Powell and Geoffrey Hudson, our name, "A6," honors the six most important people in their lives—their wives and four children—all of whom share names beginning with the letter "A." This family-oriented foundation guides everything we do, from fostering a supportive, trustworthy environment for our employees to loyally serving our customers with fast, efficient, and reliable waste transfer solutions.

​Dan Powell brings more than 31 years of extensive experience in the construction, aggregates, and materials recycling sectors. Over the past seven years, Dan has successfully built and managed a thriving recycling operation in Northern Illinois, developing a comprehensive expertise in sales, operations, machinery management, transportation logistics, and recycling processes.​

Geoffrey Hudson has over 25 years of sales, sales management, and business start-up experience spanning a number of industries where he has produced exceptional results. Geoffrey brings strong business acumen and a consultative selling approach to all of his professional pursuits. He has demonstrated success at capturing market share and accelerating corporate revenue growth. He has a strong track record of exceeding sales quotas and providing strong leadership. Roles include start-up and business plan development, capital sourcing, business development, and sales force management. With laser focus on clients’ needs his ability to consistently exceed sales objectives and forecasts, he successfully sold his first start-up company, and is now solely focused on the launch and rapid growth of A6 Waste Transfer LLC.
