US Scrap Export Price to Taiwan Remains Unchanged

WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster) : Since the rebar price has stayed firmly this week in Taiwan at NT$17,300~NT$17,400/ton, the offer price of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan has also remained unchanged at US$372~375/ton CFR which is the same offer price level as in last week. 

It is said that the Taiwanese electric furnace mills’ idea purchase price is only at US$367~US$368/ton CFR. Traders said that the US scrap sellers may agree this price deal but their offer quantity might be limited. 

On the other side, it is said that the current slow demand in Taiwan and other Southeast Asia countries may cause the scrap price to drop in this December.
