Turkish steel pipe exports surged 15% in Nov '14: CEBID

ANKARA (Scrap Monster): The recent data released by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID) shows that Turkish steel pipe exports edged higher during the month of November this year.

The pipe exports during the month totaled 160,936 tonnes, 14.7% higher when compared with the exports during the same month a year ago. The country had exported 140,310 tonnes of pipes during November last year.

The cumulative steel pipe exports by Turkey during the initial eleven-month period of the year totaled 1.74 million tonnes, up 2.7% over the previous year. The country’s steel pipe exports during the period from January to November last year had totaled 1.69 million tonnes.

The largest export market of Turkish pipes was Iraq. The worth of pipe imports by Iraq from Turkey totaled $238.5 million.

The Turkish steel pipe exports during the whole year 2014 are projected at 1.90 million tonnes.
