Georgia's ferrous exports to turkey has been declining by 59% year on year, according to National Statistics office of Georgia(Geostat).

GEORGIA(Scrap Monster): Georgia's ferrous exports to turkey has been declining by 59% year on year, according to National Statistics office of Georgia(Geostat).

Georgia, being Turkey's main trading partner, has exported 14,134 metric tons in the month of January 2012.

The revenue generated by these exports came to $5.05 million, down 58.1 percent from the year-ago figure, indicating that the country's average export price for ferrous scrap to Turkey in the month in question was $357/mt, up from $350/mt in the corresponding month of 2011.

However, Georgia's ferroalloy exports to Turkey increased to 4,761 metric tons in January 2012 compared to 504 metric tons in January 2011.
