NEWYORK (Scrap Monster): eLot Recycling Inc, a full service e-waste recycling company, has started a modern lamp and bulb recycling plant in the North-east area, comprising of New York and surrounding regions.

The plant, located in Troy, has the facilities to recycle any type of lamp or light bulb including toxic HID, compact fluorescents etc

The Department of Environment Conservation(DEC) bans electronic materials like computers, printers, batteries from throwing into landfills. Moreover, it encourages recycling of electronic waste with certified companies like eLot.

The new plant has the capacity to process to in excess of 3,000 4-foot fluorescent tubes per hour (between 6 and 8 million per annum).

eLot offers to pick up excess of waste bulbs and replacement bulbs from entire Northeast commercial sector that includes schools, hospitals, municipality etc. and recycles the material at the most affordable cost.
