ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The latest report published by Transparency Market Research (TMR), based on a study conducted in collaboration with the United Nations, forecasts global electronics recycling industry to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23% between 2013 and 2019.

The study report titled “Electronic Recycling Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast 2013 – 2019” notes that global electronics recycling market was valued at nearly $10 billion in 2012. The report states that around 65 million tons of electronic waste will be generated by 2017. The rising technological investments, increased awareness among consumers about need to dispose of their unwanted electronic goods and stricter recycling rules will function as the key drivers for e-waste recycling market during this period, TMR study observed.
