TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The Mississauga, Ontario-head quartered Peel Scrap Metal Recycling Ltd has entered into contract with clean, pollution-free energy provider Bullfrog Power to use renewable energy at its two yards in Ontario. The Canada-based green energy provider will provide green energy for Peel’s Mississauga and Oakville scrap yards.
As per the agreement reached, Bullfrog Power's generators will put green electricity onto the grid to match the amount of electricity used by Peel Scrap Metal Recycling's Bullfrog-powered yards. The agreement emphasizes the company’s commitment to sustainable future, said Gary Dvorkin, President, Peel Scrap Metal Recycling. It also has made the company stand out in within the industry in terms of utilization of renewable energy.
Anthony Santilli, Strategic Partnerships, Bullfrog Power welcomed Peel Scrap Metal Trading to the Bullfrog-powered community. According to him, the partnership will help Peel Scrap to reduce its environmental impacts in a big way. Moreover, it will also trigger the growth of green energy projects in Canada.
