Aluminum Scrap Price Of Secondary Smelters Slipped With Improved Flow of Material

NEW YORK (Scrap Monster) : With the slight improvement of flow of material in the market, the scrap price of aluminum for the secondary smelters was found to drop yesterday.  According to reliable sources, the scrap price for almost all grades of aluminum scraps of secondary scraps declines after the report of the recovery of flow of material which triggered buyers to carry out large purchases in the market.

The downward flow was the reflection of the latest drop in prices encountered with the prices of non ferrous auto shred including twitch and zorba. This downward movement was followed as a result of the slowing demand in China seen recently. The slowdown of Chinese economy had also reflected in the price movement of aluminum scrap items.

According to one scrap purchaser, they had pulled their scrap prices over the last week by about a penny. The purchaser believes that there is definitely room at the lower end of the market. He also adds that materials are starting to be coming out from yards which enable the purchasers to deal with lower numbers.
