16th October, 2017-North American Scrap Metal Prices Rose Moderately on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal uptick on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 16^th, Monday. Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered marginal increase. Aluminum scrap prices too reported marginal gain from the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap climbed higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose sharply by $0.10 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.10 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.10 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery registered marginal jump of $0.03 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.10 per Lb to touch $2.80 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap saw slight increase by $0.02 per Lb. Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices were up by $0.01 per Lb. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe edged higher by $0.02 per Lb each on October 16^th, 2017.

Heater Cores and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb each.

Romex Wire prices were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights too increased by $0.01 per Lb each.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.71 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.68 per Lb and $0.66 per Lb respectively.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe inched higher by $0.02 per Lb each. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. E.C Aluminum Wire, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 16^th October, 2017.

Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips held steady at $0.62 per Lb, $0.71 per Lb and $0.69 per Lb respectively.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held flat.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $330 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 16^th October, 2017.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $240 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices held steady.

304 SS Solid prices remained unchanged at $0.51 per Lb over the previous day. 309 SS prices too reported no change in prices.

304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 16^th October, 2017.

310 SS and 330 SS prices saw no change in prices from the previous day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices were flat at $0.72 per Lb.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator prices jumped higher by $0.02 per Lb each on October 16^th, 2017.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends remained flat on Index.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices rose by $0.02 per Lb each.
