16th February, 2018-North American Scrap Metal Prices Rose Moderately on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal uptick on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 16^th, Friday. Brass/Bronze and Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Stainless Steel, Copper and Aluminum scrap prices registered marginal increase.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose marginally by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.01 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb to touch $2.83 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap saw no change on Index. Copper Transformer Scrap, Cu/Al Radiators, Cu/Al Radiators/Fe and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu Yokes saw no change from the previous day prices of $0.61 per Lb on February 16^th, 2018.

Heater Cores and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices stayed flat on Index.

Romex Wire prices were unchanged over the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights witnessed no change on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices were up marginally by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 3003 Scrap too edged higher by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too saw slight increase by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions edged higher by $0.01 per Lb.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions increased marginally by $0.01 per Lb to touch $0.68 per Lb and $0.66 per Lb respectively.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 16^th February, 2018.

Chrome Wheels saw marginal increase in prices by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips were up by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast, Old Sheet and Painted Siding saw marginal increase of $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices held steady.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $365 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 16^th February, 2018.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $280 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 16^th February, 2018.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat at $1.14 per Lb.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Tuesday, February 16^th, 2018.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
