About Yard

Our passion is keeping hazardous electronics and precious metals out of Montana’s landfills. Our task is to collect electronic waste from all across Montana for de-manufacturing, recycling and recovery. We are licensed by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality as an authorized handler of electronic waste.
Yellowstone E-Waste was opened on Earth Day of 2006 by Brandon Fox. Anyone who has met Brandon knows that he is one of the most trustworthy, kind, honest people you’ll ever know. His passion for recycling is genuine. His great customer service skills ensure that everyone is taken care of quickly and professionally. Brandon’s work ethic has spilled over into every aspect of Yellowstone E-Waste. We are here to serve your needs and to make the environment better.Yellowstone E-Waste is the most trusted name in Montana for computer and electronics recycling! Our focus is responsibly keeping electronic waste out of Montana’s landfills. We offer professional, friendly customer service and look forward to working with you to help make the world a better place.

What We Do:
We are a collection facility for electronics that need to be recycled or re-used. E-Waste includes: computers, monitors, printers, laptops, servers, cell phones, TV’s, stereos, VCR’s, etc.Would you like to host a community collection event in your area? Or would you like to establish a year-round drop-off point in your city? We specialize in both – give us a call and we will help you with all the details!

Data Destruction:
One of our services includes secure, in-house data destruction. We have a shredder that can destroy hard-drives, CD’s, floppy disks, data tapes, or any other type of media that stores sensitive data. Everyone worries about data security – we can give you peace-of-mind knowing your hard-drive is destroyed and information cannot be accessed or stolen.Be careful where you recycle your computer or laptop. Only use companies that are responsible, trustworthy, and have a good track record of data security. Need references from us? No problem – we’ve got many big customers who have trusted us for years.

Why Recycle?
Electronic waste is a growing problem in Montana and around the United States. With technology growing so quickly, electronics become obsolete faster and faster. There are many hazardous materials in electronics such as: lead, mercury, cadmium, and flame retardants. These items should not be thrown away! Electronics can present environmental hazards if not managed correctly. Many components of electronic equipment--including metals, plastic, and glass--can be recycled and made into new things!

Why Use Yellowstone E-Waste?
We have been handling e-waste since Earth Day of 2006. We are experienced, responsible, and hold all necessary permits and licenses. We are fully compliant with current laws and regulations and only use downline processors that have R-2 or E-Steward certifications. We offer pick-up services to businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies. We travel all over Montana and northern Wyoming servicing our customers. We offer 2 convenient drop-off locations in Billings. (our warehouse at: 419 N. 15th St. downtown and at the Billings Regional Landfill) Recycling is free for Yellowstone county residents.

Data Destruction

Our “latest and greatest” service is hard-drive and data destruction. We now have a specialized in-house hard-drive shredder!
