Thunderdome Salvage and Recycling is a family owned company serving North East South Dakota. We specialize in buying and recycling electronic waste. We also offer a wide range of traditional recycling services that allow us to meet our customer needs while making our community and environment cleaner and safer.   

E-Waste recycling services

• We are a buyer of cellphones, computers, e-waste, vehicles and vintage farm equipment. Please contact us for current prices.

• We will except anything thing that plugs in or runs on batteries for recycling. However cell phones and computers are the only E-waste we are currently buying.

• We will accept all types of scrap metal for recycling.

• All TVs and computer monitors that do not come with a computer tower will require a 5$ disposal fee from the customer.

• Pick up and clean up services are available. Depending on location and material a service fee or labor charges may be required. Please contact us for details.

Demolition, Farm and property clean up are just a few of the services we can provide property owners and managers.Scrap metal removal with profit sharing is available for larger clean up jobs.Due to our knowledge of the salvage and recycling industry we can keep our disposal and labor fees low. This allows us to pass on savings to our customers and partners.

What Is E-waste?

E-waste is short for electronic waste. E-waste is any discarded electrical or electronic device. The term is most often applied to computers, cell phones and similar devices. At Thunderdome Salvage we like to say if it has a battery or uses a cord, we can recycle it!!

Why Is E-waste Recycling Important?

According to the EPA there was 2.37 million tons of tv's, computers, cellphones and electronics in the waste stream. The majority of house hold electronic devices can be recycled. When they are placed in a landfill or incinerated there is a possibility, over time, chemicals and heavy metals could be released into the soil. It also takes less energy to recycle the materials than to manufacture new ones, conserving our natural resources.

The E-waste Recycling Process

Thunderdome Salvage makes every effort to reach our goal of being a 100% waste free E-waste recycler. All waste is sorted by type and broken down to separate metal, plastic and circuit boards. The plastic is recycled in the same manner as normal household plastic recycling and will be made into new plastic items. The metal is recycled in the same matter as the plastic and will reintroduced into the supply chain. The circuit boards will be sent to waste refiners who will extract the materials from the circuit boards. The materials once refined will then be reused by many industries.
