Sunrise has been in the garbage collection business for over thirty-five years. The company was founded by Stuart G. Thayer, Jr., a native of the once booming coal town of Coketon, WV. Mr. Thayer pioneered the first garbage collection in many areas of Tucker, Grant and Randolph Counties in West Virginia.Today, Sunrise boasts all the high-tech collection vehicles, shop and office equipment and facilities as the major collection companies in the world. Recycling has been an important service that Sunrise has been offering over the recent years, which has proven very successful.

Sunrise has been in the solid waste and recycling business for nearly 40 years. Over this time period we have experienced significant growth in Maryland and West Virginia and we now operate in Tucker, Randolph, Pendleton, Mineral, and Grant counties in WV and in Garrett County in MD.

Our secret sauce isn’t so secret and it boils down to just a few key ingredients:

Bulky Item Pickup:

As part of your quarterly residential service fee each customer is allowed to dispose of two (2) bulky items per month. Please call one of our Customer Service Representatives to schedule pickup. You may put your item(s) out for pickup at the curb for collection with your household trash on its regularly scheduled pick-up date unless otherwise instructed.Bulky items include refrigerators, e-waste*, washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, microwave ovens, and other appliances; televisions, home computers, air conditioners, bicycles, furniture, waste tires off the rim, less than 16” in diameter (limit 8 free tires per year) and other items, not included in the above, that are too large or too heavy to be placed inside a trash bag.*E-waste items include televisions, computer monitors, laptops, tablets, and/or anything with a screen measuring more than 4” diagonally.

ON-SITE STORAGE

We offer 20’ storage containers (8’H x 8’W x 20’L) for your jobsite, home, or business needs.Storage containers are the highest quality available and are airtight and lockable to protect your valuable possessions.Containers cannot be moved while loaded due to possibly risk of damage to the container contents.
