Sittler Demolition

Slitter is a second generation, privately owned, heavy industry business, operation since 1949. Currently the business operates as four divisions: demolition, remediation, organics processing and asset decommissioning. The company has operations throughout southern Ontario, with offices in Kitchener/Waterloo, Elmira, Dundalk and most recently in Peterborough.

Beginning operations as a family run construction and road building company, Sittler Environmental has stood the test of time and executed projects across the province. Through strategic acquisitions, the company expanded the business throughout the 1980's and in the early 1990’s began a second division focusing on the growing markets for the recycling of construction materials. The material recovery division process’ construction waste at the companies transfer stations and recycles in excess of 50,000 metric tonnes of construction materials annually, supplying a range of products to the aggregate, metals and other consumer industries, including producing commercially available products such as: boiler fuels, wood mulch and beddings.
