Schupan Aluminum & Plastic Sales is a leading Midwestern family-owned metals service center specializing in a full line of aluminum and plastic mill products. Select lines of stainless steel, brass, copper and bronze are also available from our Michigan and Ohio facilities. Our manufacturing department utilizes state-of-the-art technology, allowing both large-scale production runs of technical components or low volume repeating products. Schupan employs teams of highly skilled and dedicated employees who are experts in their respective fields. In 2010, Schupan acquired Tri-State Aluminum to expand its Midwest aluminum and plastic distribution. Customers have more products and services available than ever before. In 2013, the merger of these two midwestern companies is complete. Tri-State is now Schupan Aluminum & Plastic Sales. Our Toledo and Dayton facilities obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certification, joining all other Schupan facilities in meeting this standard.
Schupan Industrial Recycling ships approximately 260 million pounds of non-ferrous and ferrous scrap per year to companies nationwide.Because of our quality control methods and consistent attention to detail, scrap metal from Schupan is considered some of the cleanest and best packaged scrap in the industry.
Schupan & Sons, Inc. was incorporated in 1968 as a non-ferrous industrial scrap processor, by my father, Nelson Schupan. With very humble beginnings, the company has evolved into several metal and plastic-related areas.
We do business on a national and international level at each division, with locations in four states. Schupan Industrial Recycling Services operates a number of scrap processing yards for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Schupan Aluminum and Plastic Sales is a large modern facility distributing primarily aluminum and plastic mill products. Schupan Recycling is one of the largest volume processors and brokers of used beverage containers in the U.S. We also have a brokerage office in Chicago, Illinois. Our formula for success for more than forty years is simple: Treat our customers, employees and consumers as we would wish to be treated.
