We have fast and Friendly Service for young and old. We buy from people with just a car or box load of material or a truck load. See What we buy, Tips for Recycling, and Location.

When you arrive at Raleigh Metal Recycling here is our process (You may want to Print this and bring it)

For Steel, Iron or items that are mostly Steel-Appliances, Bicycles, Lawnmowers-Ferrous/Magnetic products (Or a pick up truck/truck totally full of Copper, Aluminum, etc.). Less than truck loads of Copper, Aluminum, etc., see the section below this.

  1. Drive to the South side of the building and drive up onto the long Truck Scale on the right, to the forward position.
  2. As required by North Carolina Law, give the Weigh Master/computer operator a valid photo ID and your Special offer new customer Coupon
  3. He/She will enter you into our system, enter your weight (you, your vehicle, your contents) and give you back your ID. If you have Steel/Appliance type items, you will drive forward to the crane and we will help you unload, or unload for you. If you have hundred of pounds of copper, or aluminum, drive forward, turn to the right and back into the gated area where we will unload you
  4. To exit drive to the middle (exit) scale. You will then be weighed again, but this time the contents are not in the vehicle, so the computer will calculate the difference. You will be then asked to sign your name and write your license plate number. You will then be given a receipt.
  5. Drive off the scale and park in the parking lot. Enter the middle glass door of the building-the ATM room. The top of your ticket has a bar code. With the ATM on the left, A) Scan the bar code about 4" from the glass window. B) Money comes out in 15 seconds. With the ATM in the middle of the room, A) Press any button along the screen, hold your receipt face forward and scan it near the top of the screen. C) Money comes out in 15 seconds
  6. Get a FREE cup of HOT Coffee (sorry it is not Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts) or in the non ferrous area (just to the right of the ATM room there are FREE COLD bottles of water. Take one!
  7. Enjoy your non taxable cash and know you helped the environment, as well as the Trade Balance. We are one of the Largest Exporters in the Triangle to China and Korea.
