PRIME MATERIALS RECOVERY INC. formed in 2002 through the purchase of the assets of its' predecessor Schilberg Integrated Metals Corporation (circa 1918). Our primary objective is to assist the wire and cable manufacturers, utilities and dealers to maximize their resources through scrap recovery.PMR is one of the largest non-ferrous metal merchants and processors in the United States. Headquartered in East Hartford, CT, PMR operates state of the art processing facilities in Canastota, NY, Willimantic CT and Orangeburg SC.
Each month, PMR processes and brokers in excess of 30 million pounds of non-ferrous metals at its' facilities. In addition, PMR actively participates in the global metal market via its' import and export capabilities. All locations warehouse and distribute a wide range of copper-based alloys, aluminum, tin, zinc, nickel and lead for resale to mills and foundries. As part of PMR's goal of maximizing resources each of its' facilities now recovers plastic products via proprietary processes. In its role as a leading metal merchant and scrap processor, PMR constantly monitors the environmental impact of its operations, adhering strictly to all federal, state and municipal laws and regulations. In doing so, PMR customers can rely on the proper sourcing, handling and production of materials. Again, the company always seeks to maximize the conversion of scrap into useful raw materials.
The fundamental mission of Prime Materials Recovery Inc. (PMR) is to add value to its' customers scrap resources. Through its' proprietary processes, PMR is able to reintroduce useful raw materials for the metals and plastics industries, reduce the scrap generator's waste stream and play a major role in the greening of our environment.
The reusable products produced by PMR are derived from secondary resources generated at wire and cable manufacturers, utilities, demolition companies, and scrap metal recyclers. These materials provide a global low cost alternative raw material for our consuming customer base.
