About Yard

B&B Leasing started many years ago. In 1935, John Bloom founded the first company-Oregon City Garbage-with nothing more than a pick up truck. His son, Richard Bloom, took over the business in 1959, and over the years, he added the Molalla and Gladstone franchises. His daughter, Pamela, continues the family tradition. Pamela has served as COO since 1998.

Today, Pam operates a family-owned, family-oriented solid waste collection company. In the 40-plus years under their leadership, the company has grown from a single truck to a fleet of over 40 specialized collection trucks, servicing over 22,000 families and business within the greater Clackamas County.

New garbage and recycling collection fees were approved by the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners on June 29, 2016. Each year the County completes a financial review of garbage and recycling costs and revenues. This year’s review recognized increases in the cost of labor and disposal. To continue covering the costs of providing collection, most service levels will see a small fee increase of less than 1 percent, effective July 1, 2016.

Oregon City Garbage is committed to providing you reliable collection service. We are also committed to the safety of our drivers and customers. That’s why we are reaching out in advance – so you know how we manage weather interruptions and where you can get collection information if bad weather forces schedule changes.

By taking a moment now to review our Extreme Weather Policy, you can help ensure community safety when weather creates unsafe road conditionsThanks you and be safe, from all of us at Oregon City Garbage Company.Oregon City Garbage Company serves all of Oregon City and many unincorporated areas within Clackamas County. Owned and operated by B&B Leasing, Oregon City Garbage Co. has been serving the needs of our residents since 1935.
We have designed this site to answer questions you may have about our services as well as maintain your account from the web. It is easy to use and full of information.

Our Services

For trash service we provide a 20-, 35-, 65-, or 95-gallon roll carts. Although it will be your responsibility to keep it clean, we maintain the container (unless it is damaged due to misuse) throughout your service with us.  With weekly or monthly trash service, customers are provided with two recycle tubs.  If within the city limits, customers are provided a 65 gallon yard debris roll cart.

Where to Put Your Container
Most customers place their garbage cans at the curb, although we are happy to pick up your can at your house for an additional fee.
Unless special arrangements have been made, your collection point should never require our drivers to enter a garage, building, or navigate steps. There must not be low hanging obstructions or wires restricting the driver's access. These restrictions help protect your privacy, safety, security, and even your pets-and they reduce the risk to our drivers. A long driveway without clearance, a driveway in poor condition, or a driveway with an inaccessible passage, means your can must be placed at the roadside.

Unacceptable Materials
The following items cannot go in your garbage or recycling containers under any circumstances: liquid waste, paint, hazardous waste (which is anything labeled poison or caustic) or any medical sharps.
Missed Pickups
If we inadvertently missed collecting your garbage, recycling or yard debris, please contact us as soon as possible by clicking here or calling us at (503) 656 -8403. This will let us route your problem to our drivers as quickly as possible. If we missed your pickup, you may be asked to set out the material for pickup on the next business day. There will be no additional charge, if the volume is no greater than your normal level of service. If that option isn't convenient, call us to arrange alternate pickup arrangements. We do not give credit for missed pickups. If you are missed, call (503) 656-8403 or click here. We will get you picked up.

Recycling Service

If you have weekly garbage service with Oregon City Garbage Co., and you are inside the city limits or urban growth boundary, you automatically have recycling pick up services.Recycling is collected weekly, year-round. It is picked up on the same day as your regular garbage pick up, but we use a separate truck to pick it up. Recycling MUST be separate from your garbage. Please set out your recycling roll cart when it is full or manageable.

Your recycling must be at the curb/road side by 5:00 a.m., on your normal garbage pickup day. Please use the large gray recycling roll cart, recycling bins, or paper bags, such as a brown grocery bag. Do not use plastic bags.As of January 1, 2010, computers, monitors and TVs CANNOT be disposed of in the garbage or at disposal sites such as landfills, transfer stations and incinerators. Please do not place any of these in your garbage cart or container. If you use a paper bag, place the full paper bag in a recycling bin.All clear and colored glass jars and bottles-all glass must be in a your small blue recycling bin.
If you use a paper bag, place the full paper bag in a recycling bin.Motor oil is acceptable, but it must be in a non-breakable see-through container with a tight screw-on lid (an old gallon milk jug is recommended). No more than 2 jugs per week please. Under no circumstances place the following items with your recyclables: liquid waste, paint, hazardous waste (which is anything labeled poison or caustic), hot ashes or medical waste including medical sharps.
During severe weather conditions, we ask that your recyclables be held back until your next regular pick up day, when the bad weather will likely be gone.
